ThalesRaytheonSystems, in partnership with U.S. Army Product Manager Radars, conducted the first International Firefinder Users Conference at the Embassy Suites hotel, in Brea, Calif.

Customers from Jordan, Singapore, the U.S. Marine Corps and various U.S. Army program representatives met for discussions on Firefinder upgrades, which extend radar life for an additional 10 to 15 years.
During the conference, TRS and the U.S. Government provided an overview of foreign military sales (FMS) and defined each step of the acquisition process. This FMS process was designed to give international customers a dedicated point of contact for all product and service requests, and to efficiently resolve end-user issues. International customers also learned how to effectively utilize the FMS process to minimize delays in acquiring products and services from TRS and the U.S. Government.
Following the presentation, the customers were given a tour of the company’s Battlefield Radar test site in Fullerton, Calif. This interactive experience gave attendees the opportunity to learn more of TRS’ current radar capabilities and potential for future upgrades in person.
“The TRS and Army teams worked diligently to bring this inaugural event to fruition,” said Otis Boyles, senior program manager, TRS Customer Support. “This conference was a good first step in providing information to our international customers on how we can maintain and sustain their current radars.”
After receiving positive customer feedback, TRS plans to host its second annual Firefinder International Users Conference next spring.
